Wow, that’s pretty freaky, I’d be hard-pressed to say there’s any connection at all, except maybe -maybe- it was a bad example that set the stage for freedom of religion. Also, it was the last case where a court was allowed to hear about ‘spectral evidence’, so maybe also it helped start a more rationalist strain of thought in motion. I’m not sure either is really critical to American independence, though. I have read that Cotton Mather was a very different man by the end of his life, and that he actually was friends with a young Benjamin Franklin in Boston, so that kind of connects a couple of historical threads. But other than that — pretty tenuous, I think.

I am working on a novel and all I can find on the internet is witchcraft games and how to kill the witches on them. I need to know, historically, how witches were killed and how to physical purify sin in a sense that people who are doing it are a dangerous cult who are cruel and unusual and are witch-hunters. Your best bet is to head up towards Silverton and find a spot to swim in the Abiqua. IMHO. Crawdad pickin’s are good there too.

Hysteria of witch hunts in Europe came long before any in America, starting in the early 1300s.
I can find details of witch hunts in Europe, and I can find details of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. However, I can’t find how the European hysteria traveled across the Atlantic to America. Maybe it didn’t and it was simply coincidence?

If anyone has information regarding European influence on the Salem Witch Trials (or any witch hunts in America) it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time in advance!

Because the American colonists were immigrants from Europe. They brought their beliefs and their fears with them.

There were no witch hunts in America in 1300 because there were no Europeans in America in 1300.

Since you don’t seem to be doing anything intensive, you might want to get the macbook, since it is cheaper. The 13-inch macbook pro is more or less the same as the macbook, whereas the larger macbook pros are more expensive, but have better processors, and 2 graphics cards you can switch between, not to mention a larger screen.

OMG!!!!!ok well last year i was a pimpette ghost. i wore a white sheet, a pimp hat, a can, bling and other stuff. i won 75 dollars in a costume contest!! but be original….mix to completley different things and make one tottally awsum costume!!! good luck!!
